The app also offers valuable information about the intensity of each earthquake, including whether it has the potential to cause a tsunami. All of this data is conveniently presented on an interactive map, allowing users to pinpoint the exact location of each event.

Users can easily access seismic reports for both national and international tremors. These reports may even include a seismogram image, providing a visual representation of the earthquake if available.

Additionally, the app features a comprehensive list of seismic stations equipped with seismographs in Chile. This allows users to monitor the seismic records and overall activity of the area.

One of the standout features of Chile Alert is its real-time reporting capabilities. The app delivers prompt tremor reports complete with seismograms and maps just minutes after an event occurs. It also provides advance notifications before seismic events or tsunami warnings that may impact Chile.

Chile Alert offers five different types of alarms, each serving a specific purpose:

1. Message / Notice / New report or common notification: This serves as the first alarm type.
2. Seismic alert: These alarms are triggered when a real-time tremor is detected, ensuring heightened sensitivity to potential seismic activity.
3. Tsunami warning: These alarms are activated when earthquakes occur in other countries with a Pacific coastline. They serve as early warnings in case of possible danger and are later confirmed with data from SHOA (Hydrographic and Oceanographic Service).
4. Seismic Alarm: Similar to the previous alarm type, this one is specifically activated by large earthquakes that have the potential to affect multiple regions of Chile. It triggers a pop-up window accompanied by a sound, which can only be turned off by closing the window. Convenient for attracting attention or waking up individuals who may be asleep.
5. Tsunami Alarm: This is also similar to the previous alarm type, and it issues a pop-up window specifically indicating an impending tsunami. Similar to the seismic alarm, it can only be turned off by closing the pop-up window.

The data sources for Chile Alert include reputable institutions such as the National Seismological Center of the University of Chile, the Hydrographic and Oceanographic Service of the Navy, the Meteorological Directorate of Chile, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center, the Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology, and the Geological Service of the United States.

The application features a color-coded indicator system to help users quickly identify the severity of seismic events:

• Green indicator (State 1 Warning): Represents low-intensity earthquakes or tsunami warnings that do not pose a significant threat to Chile's coastlines.
• Orange indicator (State 2 Alert): Indicates medium-intensity earthquakes that have the potential to cause damage or trigger tsunami warnings. If there is an ongoing evaluation for a tsunami warning, it will also be represented by this color.
• Red indicator (State 3 Alarm): Designates high-intensity earthquakes (earthquakes) or tsunami alerts that meet the criteria for generating a tsunami along Chile's coastlines.

Users can choose between a normal or satellite map view for their convenience.
